Education and Training

Dr. Meadows received his medical degree at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his internship in general surgery at the North Shore Hospital of Cornell University. He performed his residency training at the highly competitive Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute in New York City, where in his final year of training, Dr. Meadows became chief resident. Dr. Meadows received advanced training in hand and upper extremity surgery, which means he has honed his skills and has years of experience in all types of upper extremity surgeries due to overuse, trauma, or disease. He completed his fellowship-training at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia with a program uniquely designed to provide a comprehensive experience in all aspects of hand and upper extremity surgery and is sponsored by the premier orthopaedic academic practice in Philadelphia: the Rothman Institute.

Among Dr. Steve Meadows’ specialties are hand, wrist, shoulder, and elbow surgery. He performs numerous shoulder replacement and reverse shoulder replacement procedures as well as rotator cuff and fracture repairs every year. Dr. Meadows also specializes in regenerative medicine for pain relief and faster healing and is the leading expert in stem cell and PRP therapy in Palm Beach County.
